The goal was clear: a team event was needed where employees all pull together and engage in intensive exchange. To get to know each other better, create something great together, and experience a true moment of success as one big team. Visible, tangible, and sustainable.
The perfect setting for our chain reaction, because just like the domino effect, every single participant becomes an indispensable building block that keeps the chain moving. And of course: the more people involved in the chain reaction, the more stations there must be and the longer the tension builds up on the way to the spectacular finale.

Before the start of the event, we divided the participants into 90 mixed teams and assigned each team its own station with a wide variety of construction materials. This allowed them to get creative right on-site and put together their own individual section of the chain reaction.
The key to success? Perfect communication, explains our event architect Lara Eder: “The team members must plan, test, and optimize their own station in close coordination. And very importantly: the transition with neighboring stations must also be managed so that the chain can truly run from start to finish.”
In the outdoor area of the location, our event team provided participants with fresh drinks and delicious snacks from the food truck in a large snack area throughout the day. After they had finished setting up their station, the teams could grab some treats here and wait for the grand finale, refreshed and energized.

Special challenge this time: at an event of this size, it is physically impossible for all 900 people to follow the chain reaction from close proximity.
To ensure that everyone present could still experience the full thrill, we installed a large screen directly in front of the hall and streamed the finale via two action cams (pictured: our responsible project manager Ferdinand Kapfer) – including a spotlight on the action via a beam of light.
The crowning glory came when the chain reaction reached the participants outside directly in front of the stage and the closing fireworks were ignited – and 900 people erupted in boundless cheers over their collective success.

For us, too, the finale is a highlight every time, because every single chain reaction is different and we eagerly cheer along with the participants,” recalls our Ferdinand Kapfer, who was the project manager responsible for the event.
