A medium-sized company used an internal conference as an opportunity to embed its revised corporate values among employees – not as a mandatory exercise, but as a clear signal: “We take our culture seriously – and we want it to be lived.”
The goal was to make the values emotionally tangible, foster identification, and simultaneously strengthen team cohesion – with a focus on employer branding, employee retention, and common alignment after numerous changes.

We developed a tailor-made event format that combined two of our proven modules and embedded them in a captivating story centered around the corporate values. The event began symbolically: In the morning, the corporate values were locked in a treasure chest and placed visibly in the conference room. In the afternoon, medieval squires collected the chest and accompanied the 200 participants by bus to Kaltenberg Castle.
There, the staging began: The notorious Black Knights stormed the square, stole the treasure chest, and demanded a ransom – 200 gold coins!
Save the Corporate Values!
The employees were divided into teams and had to reclaim the chest. At several stations, they mastered tasks that were based on a specific corporate value. For each solved challenge, there were gold coins – and an intensive engagement with the respective value.
The emotional climax: In the castle arena, all teams handed over their coins, the chest was opened – and the values were symbolically returned to the company.

Our client thus sent a strong signal: “Our values are not just guidelines – they are part of our identity.”
As a large team, the employees anchored the corporate values in their daily lives. This not only strengthens team cohesion but also has a long-term impact on culture, identification, and attractiveness as an employer.

As a strong event partner, we supported this client with our unique full-service approach – our team planned the experience from scratch: story & dramaturgy, coordination of locations, technology and performers, event management and on-site support – allowing our client to fully concentrate on their conference and employees, without additional planning effort.
The conference itself took place, upon our recommendation, at the Steigenberger Hotel Der Sonnenhof in Bad Wörishofen – a familiar venue with first-class infrastructure. For the actual event, however, we chose an external event location that offered space for symbolism, storytelling, and genuine togetherness: Kaltenberg Castle – exclusively managed by Allgäu Events as a B2B event location since 2018.
